- Cream Cheese – you can use full fat or the 1/3 less fat, either works just fine in this recipe
- Ranch Dressing – this helps give flavor and also thins out the cream cheese to make it spreadable. You can use Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix to make your own if you don’t want to use store bought.
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese – you could use slices and arrange with the turkey if you want, I like to mix it in the dressing, but either works find.
- Chopped Bacon
- Green Onion
- Sliced Turkey – any kind of deli turkey meat you like, you just want to make sure it is thinly sliced.
- Tortillas – I like to use flour tortillas, but you could use whole wheat, low carb or whatever your favorite are.

How To Make Pinwheel Sandwiches
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for the FULL PRINTABLE recipe card.
- Make Filling. In a bowl mix together the cream cheese, ranch dressing, green onions, cheddar cheese and chopped bacon until it is smooth and well combined.
- Fill. Arrange the tortillas on a surface in front of you can spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top. You want to leave a little space on the edge, because it will spread out a little as you roll them up. Arrange slices of turkey over the top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Roll. Roll tightly, wrap in plastic wrap and place in the fridge for a couple of hours.
- Slice. When you are ready to serve, slice into about 1/2 inch thick slices. Each roll should have approximately 8 slices, for a total of 24 pinwheels.

Storage
They last about 3-4 days in the fridge if stored in an airtight container.
Make Ahead
There are great to make ahead, ideally you want to let them set in the fridge for at least 2 hours before you slice them. This just allows everything to firm up, so they stay together when you slice them.
This means you can definitely make them the day before and then slice when you are ready to serve. If you are making for meal prep, you can slice and place in individual containers for people to grab and go for lunches for 3-4 days. If you add ingredients like lettuce or tomato that can get soggy and change the texture you would want to avoid that.

Recipe Tips
- Make sure to soften the cream cheese. You want to mix the cream cheese with the ranch dressing and other ingredients and have it blend well before spreading on the tortilla. If you try to do this when the cream cheese is straight out of the fridge it will be very difficult.
- Don’t skip the chilling time. The chilling time is what helps these pinwheels stay together. Otherwise they tend to unroll and can just be harder to handle if you slice and serve right away.
- Get creative – try these Ham & Cheese Roll Ups for another variety or use whatever meat and cheese you like. Lots of people like to add pickle relish or bell peppers as well. Lots of ways to make it what you like.

These are one of my favorite snacks to take to a get together
I am confused about the serving size. Is this saying that making 3 large rolled tortillas, and cutting each roll into 1/2 inch slices only makes 8 pinwheels? That can’t be?
It makes 3 large rolls, you cut each roll into about 1/2 inch slices. So you end up with about 24 slices. As an appetizer, approximately 3 slices per person makes for 8 servings. You can adjust that however you want, but it is just an estimate.
