Instant Pot Country Style Ribs – make super tender, flavorful and juicy pork with just a simple dry rub and the Instant Pot. Top with your favorite barbecue sauce for and over the top delicious dinner!
Instant Pot Country Style Ribs are the perfect way to enjoy tender, flavorful ribs without the long cooking time. The pressure cooker locks in all the juicy goodness and infuses the meat with rich, savory flavor, giving you fall-apart delicious ribs in a fraction of the time.

You can use a few different cuts of meat for pulled pork, but country style ribs is my favorite! In the peak of summer I love Smoked Pork Butt, but in the winter or when I am short on time the Instant Pot to the rescue!
This country style rib recipe is super easy to make. You can use your favorite store bought dry rub, make the one I have included or if you have one you really like you can use that! It is important to use one though, as it gives the meat so much flavor.

What You’ll Need
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for the FULL PRINTABLE recipe card.
- Country Style Ribs – I always use the boneless ones, but bone in works as well.
- Chicken Broth – you really just need liquid for your Instant Pot, so anything works.
- Dry Rub – If you have a favorite spice blend you can definitely use that, I include my favorite dry rub in the recipe card below.
How to Make Country Style Ribs
- Season. Season the pork generously with a dry rub. Use your hands to gently rub the spice mixture into the meat on all sides.
- Prep. Pour liquid into the bottom of the Instant Pot and add the pork.
- Cook. Cover and cook under high pressure for 45 minutes.
- Release. Naturally release for 15 minutes and then finish with a quick release to open the Instant pot. Remove the meat and shred with forks.
- Serve. To serve top with your favorite barbecue sauce
What to Serve with Country Style Pork Ribs
This pulled pork is so versatile you really can serve with just about anything. You could toss it with barbecue sauce and make Pulled Pork Sliders or dress up a Loaded Baked Potato or even a swap in BBQ Chicken Nachos. Or if you are serving the meat as is, here are a few classic sides.

Recipe Tips & Suggestions
- Boneless vs Bone In. It really doesn’t matter what you use, the cook time will be the same. I like to use boneless because they are just easier to work with. But use whatever you have.
- Saucing. I like to wait to put the barbecue sauce on at the end, because otherwise it feel it gets watered down as the meat cooks and then it also changes the texture of the pork.
- Crockpot. Don’t have an Instant Pot? No worries! You can follow my Crockpot Country Style Ribs recipe for pretty much the same results.

These look amazing so am making today. Do you see any problem with smoking them first for maybe an hour then going to the instant pot? Maybe change the pressure cooking time a bit?
