How To Make Chicken Stuffing Casserole

  1. Chicken. Cut chicken into bite sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. Arrange into the base of a casserole dish.
  2. Soup. Mix together cream soup and milk until combined. Pour over the chicken and spread into an even layer.
  3. Stuffing. Spread the stuffing mix evenly over the casserole dish. Drizzle the chicken broth over the top to just moisten the stuffing mixture.
  4. Bake. Cover with foil and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the top is browned and the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Serve. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Recipe Tips & Variations

  • Vegetables. You can absolutely add vegetables to this and make it a complete meal. I like to add broccoli mixed with the chicken, or you could use a bag of frozen peas and carrots. Whatever your favorite veggies are will work great.
  • Cream Soup. Don’t want to use cream soup? Don’t worry! You can use my Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup if you want to skip the store bought stuff.
  • Rotisserie Chicken. You can make this even faster if you start with precooked chicken. Mix the chicken with the cream soup and cover with the stuffing as directed. Then baking (uncovered) for about 20 minutes until it is bubbly and hot, and the stuffing is golden brown.

Storage

Leftover chicken stuffing casserole can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. You can reheat in the microwave until it is warmed through. The stuffing won’t be as crispy and golden when reheated.
