Potsticker Salad – This quick salad layers warm potstickers over a crisp mix of coleslaw, cilantro, almonds, and green onions, all tossed in a savory peanut dressing. It’s a fast, flavor-packed way to turn frozen dumplings into a satisfying meal.
Some nights, I just want dinner to be quick but still feel like something I actually want to eat, and this potsticker salad fits the bill perfectly.

It’s the kind of meal I throw together when I have a pack of frozen potstickers hanging around and no energy to make a full stir-fry.
The warm dumplings hit the crunchy slaw, the peanut dressing pulls it all together, and suddenly it feels like more than just “whatever’s in the fridge.”
You can use any potstickers you like here; store-bought keeps things simple, but if you’re feeling ambitious, you could make your own using this recipe for Homemade Pan Fried Shrimp and Pork Potstickers.
Why You’ll Love This Potsticker Salad
- Fast Weeknight Option – Ready in 15 minutes, this is a no-stress dinner you can pull together even when you’re short on time.
- Easy Shortcut with Big Flavor – Using frozen potstickers and the included sauce keeps things simple without sacrificing taste.
- Customizable Bowl – Swap in different slaw mixes, herbs, or toppings based on what you like or have on hand.
- Perfect for Leftovers – If you cook extra potstickers, you can toss them into salads throughout the week for easy lunches.
- No Oven Required – Great for warm weather days when you want something cooked but don’t want to heat up the kitchen.

Recipe Tips & Suggestions
- Use any potstickers you like – This works with chicken, pork, veggie, shrimp—whatever’s in your freezer.
- Pan-fry for extra texture – Crisping the potstickers in a skillet adds contrast to the crunchy salad.
- Add extra veggies – Toss in shredded carrots, sliced bell peppers, or cucumber for more color and crunch.
- Swap the sauce base – If your potstickers don’t come with a sauce packet, use hoisin, teriyaki, or chili garlic sauce instead.
- Make it spicy – Add a squeeze of sriracha or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the dressing.
- No Sauce packet? You can easily make your own dressing using soy sauce, sesame oil, hoisin, rice vinegar, or any Asian-inspired sauce you enjoy. The dressing recipe in my Chinese Chicken Salad is a great swap!

I’m not sure if my last comment went though, so I’m going to leave another one! 😉 I am seriously in love with this recipe. It’s genius to use potstickers in salad! So fun!
I would never think to put potstickers in a salad! Do you let them cool off first or do they go on the salad warm?
I put them in warm, but I always put meat on my salads warm. Such a fun twist, and great texture mix up.
This is so creative! I’ve seriously never seen anything like this. LOVE and can’t wait to try those potstickers!
I’m sure this will be a hit in my house! We love potstickers! This recipe looks so fun!
I love anything Asian inspired so this is right up my alley. Love the nuts in it too. So healthy!
I saw this on Instagram and literally said why didn’t I think of that?! Gah! Love it. Excuse me while I run to the grocery store…I’m suddenly feeling quite famished…..
This looks very tasty, but…none of the packages of potstickers that I have came with a dressing packet. Do you have a recipe that is made from scratch?

This is definitely on the dinner menu for tonight! I don’t have almonds. So I’m gonna dump some cashews on it ☺️
