This Chicken Bacon Ranch Dip is creamy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor! Packed with plenty of chicken, crispy bacon, and zesty ranch seasoning, it’s the ultimate crowd-pleasing dip for any get together.
If you’re looking for a guaranteed hit at your next party or game day gathering, Chicken Bacon Ranch Dip is the answer. It’s warm, gooey, and totally addictive. Plus this dip comes together easily and disappears fast.

The combination of cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chicken, bacon, and ranch seasoning mix together is often referred to as crack chicken. So if you are at a get together and someone calls this crack dip, you will know what they are talking about.
The flavor combination is hard to stay away from. Once you start you are going to want to keep going back for more. So I can understand how the name originated years ago.

What You’ll Need
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for the FULL PRINTABLE recipe card.
- Cream Cheese – I prefer full fat, but light cream cheese does work well in this recipe, it melts smooth and gets deliciously creamy.
- Sour Cream – you could swap plain Greek yogurt for this if desired
- Ranch Seasoning Mix – you can buy a packet or use Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix
- Cheddar Cheese
- Bacon
- Shredded Chicken – this is a great use for rotisserie chicken. You can use leftover chicken or really any shredded and cooked chicken. Air Fryer Chicken Breasts are a great quick way to cook chicken that you can shred if you don’t have any on hand.
- Green Onions

How To Make Chicken Bacon Ranch Dip
- Cream Together. In a bowl mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning mix. You can use a spatula or you can use a mixer if you prefer.
- Add Protein. Once the mixture is nice and smooth add in the cheddar cheese, bacon, shredded chicken and green onions. Mix together until everything is evenly combined.
- Heat. Spread the dip into a baking dish, top with the remaining cheese and bacon pieces and bake for about 30 minutes until it is hot and bubbly.
- Serve. Remove from the oven and serve with your favorite dippers. This is best served warm.

Recipe Tips & Suggestions
- Make Ahead. You have a couple options to get this made ahead and the day you are serving easier. Assemble and instead of putting in the oven, cover and place in the fridge overnight. Then bake the day off, adding a few extra minutes to the cook time. Alternatively, you can place the dip in a crockpot and cook on low for a few hours. It can stay in the crockpot while serving to keep it warm during and event.
- Cheese. This is one that you will ideally shred your own cheese for. You want the cheese to melt smoothly and evenly and shredding it from the block helps ensure this happens.
- Dippers. Serve this with whatever your favorite dippers are. You can use Tortilla Chips or Fritos works great. Buttery crackers, crostini, and pita chips are delicious as are bell peppers or celery and carrots. Whatever you like, it will be delicious. Heck even a spoon works.
- Chicken. I like to use rotisserie chicken for this recipe, but you really just need cooked chicken. It can be leftover chicken, canned chicken or even chicken you cook and shred for this recipe.

Storage
Store left dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can reheat in the microwave or if you have a lot left you can add to the crockpot on low to heat through.
I would not advise freezing this dip, the texture will change and it will not be nearly as good.
