Cookies and Cream Bars – chewy cookie bars loaded with cookies n’ cream candy and cookies! A sweet treat that will disappear in no time.
Cookies are always a great dessert, everyone loves them. But sometimes they can take awhile, when you have to scoop the balls of dough and bake just a sheet or two at a time. Not with these Cookies and Cream Bars. Everything bakes in one pan, and they are ready in no time!
This takes your favorite chocolate chip cookie base and turns it into something extra tasty!

What makes these bars extra delicious? Not only are they loaded with Oreo cookies, but also cookies n’ cream candy! So you get the soft buttery cookies that you know and love, but taken to a whole new level.
What You’ll Need
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for the FULL PRINTABLE recipe card.
- Butter – I always use unsalted butter in baking
- Granulated Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Egg
- Vanilla Extract
- All-Purpose Flour
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Oreo Cookies
- Cookies n’ Cream Candy
You can use the Hershey Cookies n’ Cream Bars or the Kisses – either work, so whatever you can find. You just want to coarsely chop them.

How To Make Cookies and Cream Bars
- Cream Butter. In an electric stand mixer cream together the butter with the sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Wet. Beat in the vanilla extract and the egg, until the egg is fully incorporated.
- Add Dry. Add the flour, baking soda and salt and mix until just combined.
- Mix-Ins. Using a spatula fold in the chopped cookies and candy until well blended.
- Bake. Press the dough into an 8 inch square baking dish and bake for about 25 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
- Serve. Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing to serve.

Recipe Tips & Suggestions
- Double Recipe. This makes an 8-inch square pan as written. You can definitely just double the ingredients and follow the recipe as written. Then you can just bake them in a 13×9 inch pan.
- Mix-Ins. This calls for a Hershey Cookies n’ Cream candy bar that you chop up, but you really can use any type of cookies n’ cream candy you can find. Even the kisses work well if that is easier to find.
- Don’t Over Cook. Keep an eye on the bars, you really want to make sure to not over cook them. They will get hard on the edges and dry out. So it is better to under back and let them finish cooking as they cool.
- Shortcut? Take store bought cookie dough and just add the mix-ins and bake!
Storage
Once the bars have cooled, cover and keep them at room temperature for 3-4 days.
Freezing – These bars are great in the freezer. I like to slice them first, just so they thaw quicker or you can take 1-2 out instead of the whole pan. Just let them thaw at room temperature to serve.
