Margarita Bars Recipe – If you like classic lemon bars, you are going to love this lime bars spiked with tequila!  Everyone’s favorite cocktail turned in to a creamy and delicious dessert!

I am pretty sure my favorite cocktail is a margarita.  A blue margarita is my new favorite version. But a good margarita has always been my go to when I am ordering a drink out. So why not turn that drink into dessert?!

Margarita bars are similar to the classic creamy lemon bars that everyone loves. But these have a graham cracker crust, lots of lime juice, and are of course spiked with tequila.

A homemade graham cracker crust is what makes these margarita bars extra special. It is sweet, crunchy, and absolutely delicious.  You will want to make sure to use fresh lime juice. The bottled stuff is fine, but the fresh juice will make all the difference!

Lime bars are sweet, tangy, and a huge hit. If you don’t want to add the tequila, you can skip it.  Just add some orange juice more more lime juice in its place.  The tequila cooks out completely, so you don’t have to worry about giving these to kids or anything like that.  You just get the hint of flavor that tequila gives a margarita.

I love these easy lime bars, because they come together quickly.  If you can juice a lime, you have pretty much all the skills necessary to make these!  Once they cool dust them with a little powdered sugar. It helps make them pretty, because when they bake the filling gets a little bubbly on top.

You can store these margarita bars in the fridge or at room temperature. It really depends on how you like them. If you put them in the fridge the powdered sugar will get soaked into the top and you won’t see it.  But they are delicious cold, so it is a trade off.
