Ingredients Needed
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for the FULL PRINTABLE recipe card.
- Dry White Wine – I like to use chardonnay for this, but a dry wine of any kind will work
- Apple Cider – the fresh cider in the produce section is best for this recipe
- Vodka – I used a caramel flavor to up the caramel in this recipe, but you really can use regular vodka.
- Apples – whatever you have and enjoy
- Simple Syrup – there is a recipe for homemade in the recipe card, but it is to taste, so it is up to you how much to make and use.
- Caramel

How To Make Caramel Apple Sangria
- Mix. In a large pitcher mix together wine, apple cider and the vodka. Once it is combined mix in the apples.
- Sit. Store in the fridge for 4-5 hours for the flavors to really blend together.
- Serve. When you are ready to serve pour the caramel onto a plate and dip the rims of the glasses in the caramel to coat. Add ice and pour in the sangria. Drizzle in a little simple syrup to the glass if desired.
Caramel and apple are totally meant for each other. These Caramel Apple Pie Bars are pretty much one of the best things that features this combo. So why not a drink?

Recipe Tips & Suggestions
- Wine. You want to make sure it is a wine you like the taste of, but it doesn’t have to be expensive. You are adding things to it, so don’t make it your absolute favorite high end bottle. Middle of the road is just fine. Just make sure it isn’t a sweet wine.
- Vodka. I have caramel vodka on hand, so that is what I used. But I have also made it with regular vodka, and gotten the caramel flavor from the rim on the glass. Both are delicious, use whatever you prefer.
- Apples. I like to use a variety of apples so you get a mix of sweet and tart. You do not need to peel them.
- Storage. This is great to make ahead because you want it to sit for 4-5 hours before serving. You don’t want to make it too much more than that ahead or the apples will start to break down.
